وصف المقرر التعليمي:

The program in African American studies is designed to provide students with a sound understanding of the black experience nationally and internationally, while focusing on North America. The interdepartmental and inter-disciplinary features of the program allow for a broad and varied exposure to black culture, economics, politics, and history from Africa to the Americas.

متطلبات القبول:

Students applying for this course must have copies of high school or secondary school documents stamped "attested as true copies" by an educational official from your school, council, or embassy/consulate. Students whose native language is not English are required to take English Language proficiency exams. An official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or MELAB (Michigan English Assessment Battery) is acceptable. Acceptable TOEFL scores are 550+ on the paper and pencil test or 79+ on the Internet-based test. Acceptable IELTS score is 7 or higher on either the academic paper and pencil test or the academic computer-based test. The minimum acceptable score is 76 for MELAB. Students are also required to take ACT or SAT exams.

Students are requested to send the following items for admission: $65 non refundable application fee; English Language Proficiency Test scores; Official high school or secondary school documents "attested as true copies" by an educational official from your school, council, or embassy/consulate. Documents in native language must be translated professionally by a translation service. Application form must be filled online. All these requested documents must be mailed directly to: Office of the Undergraduate Admissions, 406 Penn Street, Camden, NJ 08102.
