I took the SAT and the TOEFL. I prepared on my own and signed up for coaching classes that were of no use. I used the educational counselor of my school. I did need the VISA and my interview process was easy and uncomplicated. It was easy to buy air tickets. No student fare was given but extra baggage was allowed. I landed at Newark, NJ. It is about 2-3 hours from my college. No immigration issues and the university sometimes do a meet and greet service at some major airports.

I have full scholarship because Yale is a need-based financial aid provider.

I am happy with my program. My professors are brilliant. The lecture halls and other buildings are great and the library is one of the largest.

I was living in a university dormitory and have recently moved into my own apartment. There are sports facilities. It is very easy to get on-campus jobs for international students; the social scene is what you make of it. The city has bars, restaurants and a couple of clubs. The winters are harsh, and there are plenty of international student organizations and societies. They organize mostly social and political events.

The University does have a placement cell. It is fairly difficult given the present scenario. There is a campus placement process in place that organizes career fairs and has an interview program. I don’t know the exact figures, go to www.yale.edu/career. The work permit process is not all that good because of the visa restrictions, there is an alumni society. The network is very active, but they probably do not help directly with the placements.
